• 1967

    The beginning. The company called Augusto Manfroi was founded on March 25 on Rua Humaitá in Bento Gonçalves (RS). A small factory to manufacture cement products, especially sinks.

  • 1972

    Started selling sinks together with cabinets. The next step was to manufacture their own furniture.

  • 1974

    The company name changes to Augusto Manfroi & Filho Ltda. The production of furniture becomes a reality.

  • 1978

    The increase in demand boosts the development and diversification. Ready-made furniture kits become popular in southern Brazil.

  • 1980

    When Claudio and Gilmar - Augusto’s sons - joined the company, the corporate name changed to Augusto Manfroi & Cia. The company takes its first step towards its industrial independence: the construction of a new plant started in Vale dos Vinhedos.

  • 1983

    The company takes its final name: S.C.A., a combination of the initials of Sérgio, Cláudio and Augusto.

  • 1985

    Km 220 at RST 470 in Bento Gonçalves houses the new industrial plant featuring modern computerized systems.

  • 1989

    In addition to investments in the industrial area , S.C.A. targets investments in the design, already thinking about a bolder project.

  • 1990

    The 90s were marked by technological initiatives, the launch of innovative lines of products such as the Soft Line and Plastic Line, and the use of MDF (medium density fiberboard).

  • 1995

    S.C.A. new brand identity focuses on the upper end of the market. The distribution channel of products in stores begins to show signs of change.

  • 1997

    S.C.A. Modular Shop, an exclusive chain of stores, is implemented with investments and positioning aimed at design.

  • 1998

    The creation of the ambitious Colore Modular System, focused on aesthetic and functional features results in an adjustment of the sector and becomes a turning point for the company.

  • 2001

    A new modern logo matches the new concept of the brand and its contemporary products.

  • 2003

    With 160 exclusive stores in Brazil and abroad, the level of requirements and standardization increases, demanding to restructure the network.

  • 2007

    Launch of the book "The History of a Conquest" to mark S.C.A. 40th anniversary. The brand is recognized as a high-end product and the logo is updated, becoming cleaner and conceptual.

  • 2008

    The Comportamentos Collection is launched, featuring new measurements and unique patterns. The consumer`s style is enhanced and characterized in the Moderno, Natural, Original and Clássico collections.

  • 2009

    Inauguration of the new 6,500-m2 manufacturing plant, aiming at the employees’ well-being. Opening of conceptual showrooms, strengthening partnerships with professional specifiers.

  • 2010

    Opening a corporate office in São Paulo. Construction work of the new headquarters and showroom in Bento Gonçalves beginning to take shape.

  • 2011

    Acquisition of the Slimstone brand and technology. Establishment of a factory to offer products in marble and granite only 5mm thick. A real revolution in the use of natural stone.

  • 2012

    Expanding the horizons of furniture production, new operations started in different business segments, including infrastructure and solutions for the construction industry.

  • 2013

    In addition to the home segment, the company expands its operations in the corporate sector by implementing a metal-working unit and providing complete solutions to the market.

  • 2014

    The year that marks the opening of the showroom Thematic Complex and the presentation of the brands that make up Grupo SCA: S.C.A., Ópera, Collezione and Slimstone.
